Action Taken on the Riverside Beat |
||
|
You said: People are dealing drugs in Castle Gardens
We did: Listened — and took action… again 🚔
This morning, the Riverside beat team carried out a proactive operation in response to your concerns, with both plain-clothed and uniformed officers in the area.
During the operation, officers noticed a male wearing a balaclava approaching a group near Castle Gardens — which, even by British weather standards, raised a few eyebrows.
He was detained and stop searched, and officers found a significant quantity of Class A drugs along with an extendable baton. He was promptly arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and possession of an offensive weapon.
To add to matters, this is now the third time this year he has been arrested for the same offence — clearly not taking the hint.
He has since been handed over to our detective colleagues, who will be dealing with the investigation this evening.
This arrest follows another successful arrest of a different drug dealer last week, which we shared on our page. These results aren’t by chance — we will continue to carry out operations in the area.
If you choose to deal drugs on the Riverside, you can expect to meet us soon… and we’ll be happy to take you to our custody suite too.
Thank you for continuing to report concerns to us — it helps us take action where it matters most ✅
